A very warm welcome to Château Mitaud, a lifestyle hub in the heart of Bordeaux wine country. We are an Anglo-Chinese couple who spend our lives somewhere between Shanghai and Bordeaux (and many places in between). Château Mitaud is our home, but it is also our business and a reflection of our goals and values. Simple things matter to us, like good, healthy food and a respect for the environment, which is reflected in everything we do here. We would be delighted and honoured to receive you as our guests.
Château Mitaud is a place where you can relax, rejuvenate and recharge your batteries. Located in the heart of the Graves, the oldest wine-producing region in Bordeaux, France, it is a lifestyle hub where eating good food, learning about wine culture meets healthier living with a profound respect for nature. It comprises accommodation, a vineyard and a truffle farm. Our philosophy is to encourage a return to a lifestyle that is closer to and less harmful to, nature (but without being at all preachy). It offers you a unique combination of Asian-inspired themed accomodation, diverse and well-appointed facilities and multiple on and off-site activities, combined with learning about and experiencing naturally-grown products of the terroir. We take inspiration from the latest research and techniques to define a healthier, more fufilling lifestyle.
Only 45 minutes from Bordeaux Mérignac airport and about the same distance from the Gare St Jean train station in Bordeaux proper (now within 2 hours of Paris as a result of the new upgraded TGV) and central Bordeaux, Château Mitaud is just far enough away to be able to switch off and relax, yet close enough to the main transportation hubs to make it easy to get to and from.
Château Mitaud is also a great base for visiting the world's most famous wine-producing region and all its legendary châteaux.
We also welcome you to hold events at Château Mitaud. We love weddings, conferences or just groups of friends or colleagues getting together for a weekend or longer. However you want to spend your time at Château Mitaud, long or short, we have something to make it a unique and unforgettable experience and one you will want to repeat and tell your friends about.
